Vadilal Gandhi, the entrepreneur who built Vadilal Ice Cream, turned a small soda shop in Ahmedabad into a Rs 1,900 crore ice cream kingdom. From its humble beginnings in 1907 in Gandhi's small fountain soda shop, India's favorite ice cream brand was born. Today, the firm is headed by fifth-generation Kalpit Gandhi as CFO and is the No. 1 selling Indian ice cream brand in the US.
