The Gurugram skyline has turned a wee bit more elitist. Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal has joined the ranks of India's ultra-high net worth individuals after buying a sprawling, super-luxury apartment in DLF's famous Camellias for a record ₹52.3 crore.

Key Highlights
Massive Space & Facilities
The 10,813 sq. ft. super built-up area apartment comes with five special parking spots—placing it among the largest and most coveted homes in the National Capital Region.

Prime Location:
Located in DLF Phase 5, Gurugram, The Camellias is renowned for its seven-star hotel-like amenities like a gym, spa, clubhouse, chef-on-call, jogging and cycling tracks, etc. The complex spans an area of 17.5 acres and is a base for India's business class.

Record-Breaking Price:
Goyal shelled out circa ₹48,390 per sq. ft., which is at the upper end of the going price in The Camellias. Current estimates value similar apartments at ₹125–150 crore, which is an estimate of the phenomenal appreciation of prices of luxury property in the area in the last three years.

Elite Neighbours Camellias boasts a list of its residents with some of the finest business leaders and entrepreneurs, including Boat's Aman Gupta, Lenskart's Peyush Bansal, Cars24's Vikram Chopra, and Mamaearth's Varun Alagh. Some of the latest deals include a penthouse that was sold for ₹190 crore and another flat for ₹95 crore.

Personal Touch:
The transaction was made in Goyal's individual capacity. He had also purchased a plot in Mehrauli locality of Delhi for ₹50 crore, demonstrating his widening portfolio of high-end properties.

Stamp Duty & Timeline:
The conveyance deed was executed on March 17, 2025, on a stamp duty of ₹3.66 crore. Goyal had bought the flat from DLF in August 2022 and got it registered this year.

Why It Matters

This blockbuster transaction is a reflection of the increasing popularity of ultra-luxury apartments among India's startup and technology entrepreneurs. The Camellias is currently the address of choice for the country's new-generation business elite, a trend that is reflective of the broader transition away from the old bungalow model to high-rise, amenity lifestyle.
