GCPL’s Big Splash: Advertising Spend Hits Rs 1,369.21 Crore Mark

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) ramped up its advertising and publicity investments to ₹1,369.21 crore in FY2025, marking a 2.5% increase from the previous year’s ₹1,335.89 crore. Despite challenging market conditions-including rising palm oil prices and subdued urban demand-GCPL prioritized brand-building to support its diverse FMCG portfolio. The company’s Q4 ad spend alone reached ₹310.07 crore, contributing to a strong annual revenue of ₹14,364 crore and a net profit of ₹1,852.3 crore. CEO Sudhir Sitapati emphasized that strategic ad investments are crucial for sustaining growth amid headwinds. The increased spend signals GCPL’s commitment to maintaining market share and consumer engagement even as the company navigates cost pressures and evolving consumption trends.
