Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd (GPIL), a leading steel and pellet manufacturer, has officially commenced commercial operations at its newly expanded iron ore pelletisation plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The expansion adds 2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of fresh capacity, boosting the company’s total pellet output from 2.7 MTPA to 4.7 MTPA.

The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board granted consent to operate the additional unit on December 3, 2025, paving the way for immediate commissioning.
The expanded facility is located at the Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur, strategically positioned to serve both domestic and export markets.
