Grand Continent Hotels Ltd (GCH), a fastgrowing midscale hospitality brand, has signed a nineyear lease agreement to operate a fullservice hotel in the heart of Chennai’s bustling T. Nagar district. The move marks another milestone in the company’s assetlight expansion strategy.

Key Highlights:

The lease agreement was signed with SPN Hotels Pvt Ltd for a property located at Door No. 17, Old No. 38, Thirumalai Pillai Road, T. Nagar, Chennai.
The hotel will operate under the Grand Continent brand and is expected to go live between June 16 and July 15, 2025.
The property features 72 rooms, a restaurant, a restobar, a pub, spa, three banquet halls, a swimming pool, gym, bakery, and ample car parking.

Strategic Significance:

Nagar is one of Chennai’s most commercially vibrant neighborhoods, making it a prime location for both business and leisure travelers.
The addition strengthens GCH’s presence in Tamil Nadu and aligns with its goal of scaling up to 2,000+ keys by FY26.
The lease model ensures full operational control and revenue capture while minimizing capital expenditure.

Operational Outlook: GCH plans to integrate the property into its centralized systems for reservations, staffing, and brand standards.

The hotel is expected to achieve breakeven within 18–24 months, in line with the company’s performance benchmarks for new properties.
