The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) has unveiled plans for two new metro corridors in Gurugram, significantly enhancing the city's public transportation. The first 17km route will connect Bhondsi village to Gurugram railway station, passing through key areas like Vatika Chowk and Rajiv Chowk. The second 13.6km corridor will link Golf Course Extension Road to Sector 5, covering major business districts. These new lines will intersect with existing and upcoming metro and rapid rail networks, improving overall connectivity. HMRTC has invited tenders for detailed project reports, with construction expected to begin soon. This expansion aims to reduce traffic congestion and boost economic growth in densely populated areas and business hubs across Gurugram.
