Nani’s much-anticipated action thriller, HIT: The Third Case, has completed its first week at the box office, but the film’s momentum has slowed considerably. On Day 7, the movie registered a significant 38% drop in revenue, collecting only ₹2.15 crore across all languages, according to early estimates. This marks the film’s lowest single-day collection since release.
In spite of the midweek dip, HIT 3's overall India net collection is a whopping ₹61.20 crore in seven days. The movie opened well, collecting ₹21 crore on Day 1, but days that followed were a gradual dip: ₹10.5 crore on Day 2, ₹10.4 crore on Day 3, and ₹10.25 crore on Day 4. The decline was more steep from Day 5 onwards, with ₹3.65 crore, ₹3.25 crore, and then ₹2.15 crore on Day 7.
Industry experts point out that although the movie has surpassed some of its rivals and reached the ₹60 crore mark, it now has the task of sustaining viewers' interest in its second week, particularly with new releases lined up.
