A junior engineer from Thane, Maharashtra, has been arrested for allegedly leaking restricted information about 14 Indian Navy warships and submarines to Pakistani intelligence operatives. The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad uncovered detailed exchanges, including sensitive diagrams and voice messages, confirming the engineer’s direct involvement in espionage activities.  

Key Details of the Espionage Case  
- The accused, identified as Ravi Verma, was employed at Krasni Defence Technology Pvt. Ltd., a firm handling repairs for key defence establishments, including the Naval Dockyard and Mazagon Dock.  
- Investigators revealed that Verma shared operational details of 14 naval vessels, five of which were confirmed to be classified by the Indian Navy.  
- He allegedly bypassed security protocols by memorizing details and later recreating them as sketches, diagrams, and audio messages, which were sent via WhatsApp and social media.  

Honeytrap Recruitment and Foreign Handlers  
- Verma was reportedly honey-trapped online by suspected Pakistani agents posing as Indian women involved in naval research.  
- The espionage ring initiated contact through Facebook profiles named Payal Sharma and Ishpreet, later moving conversations to WhatsApp.
