There’s a big change at the top of Hindustan Construction Company (HCC). Jaspreet Bhullar has resigned from his role as Managing Director and CEO. Bhullar had been with HCC since March 2022, first as CEO and then as MD & CEO from April 2023.

Key Highlights:

Bhullar’s exit brings his time at HCC to a close after a little over two years. He came to the company with a strong background, having worked in leadership roles at firms like Multiplex Constructions and Leighton India.

At HCC, he was known for his experience in handling large infrastructure projects—think highways, bridges, and hydro plants.

The company’s leadership is still fairly new, with most of the top team, including Executive Vice Chairman Arjun Dhawan and CFO Girish Gangal, having joined in the last couple of years.

For now, HCC’s board and senior leaders will manage things while they figure out who will take over next. They’ve said they’ll update employees and shareholders soon about their plans.

Bhullar’s resignation comes at a time when HCC is facing both opportunities and challenges in the construction industry, so the next steps for the company will be closely watched.
