Reliance Jio has launched AI Classroom, a free four-week beginner-level course developed in collaboration with Jio Institute and powered by JioPC, to advance national AI literacy. The initiative, unveiled at India Mobile Congress 2025, aims to prepare millions of students and professionals with essential AI skills for India’s digital-first future.

Marking a major step toward a “Digitally Intelligent India,” Jio’s new AI Classroom bridges accessibility and innovation by democratizing AI education. Designed for learners from all walks of life—students, working professionals, and tech enthusiasts—the free program offers hands-on exposure to generative AI tools, creativity modules, and real-world problem-solving applications.

Key Highlights

Launch and Vision: Announced on the opening day of India Mobile Congress 2025, the AI Classroom forms part of Jio’s mission to make India “AI ready.” The company envisions empowering every digital learner with essential AI knowledge to thrive in a technology-driven job landscape.

Course Design: The four-week foundation program includes one-hour weekly sessions covering AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, and creative applications. Participants gain practical experience using tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, Adobe Express, Suno.ai, and ElevenLabs, alongside guided AI projects that simulate real-world use cases.

Inclusive Access: The course can be accessed on desktops, laptops, or TVs through JioPC—a device that converts any screen into an AI-ready computer. Learners completing the course on JioPC receive a certificate from Jio Institute, while others earn a verified digital badge.

Skill-Oriented Learning: The course blends conceptual understanding with application, teaching participants to use AI for productivity, research, storytelling, project management, and content design. A final AI-powered capstone project encourages innovation and portfolio development.

Expanding Reach: Jio’s initiative aligns with India’s broader vision for AI upskilling at scale. The telecom major has also partnered with Jaro Education to bring additional free expert-led programs on business AI, product management, and consulting to JioFiber and JioAirFiber homes across India.

Empowering Tier-2 and Tier-3 Talent: Designed to overcome inequalities in access to quality education, Jio’s platform enables millions beyond major metros to gain employability-focused AI literacy, contributing to India’s “Viksit Bharat” vision by 2047.
