In a heartwarming show of commitment to nature, judicial officers across Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Kapurthala turned World Environment Day into more than just a symbolic occasion. With shovels in hand, they planted 120 saplings at the New Court Complex in SBS Nagar, making their presence felt not just in the courtroom but in the soil.

Growing More Than Just Verdicts
Leading the charge was Priya Sood, District and Sessions Judge, alongside other judicial officers, ensuring that the ‘One Judge, One Tree’ initiative wasn’t just a statement—it was action. The campaign extended to Balachaur, where SDJM Luvjinder Kaur and Bar Association President HS Saini took part, proving that the legal community isn’t just about laws—it’s about legacies.

A Lesson Beyond Books
Meanwhile, in Kapurthala, a State-Level Quiz Competition on "Ending Global Plastic Pollution" saw 400 students competing, proving that environmental awareness isn’t just for grown-ups—it’s shaping the next generation. Young minds from DAV Public School, Ludhiana, Centenary Public School, Phillaur, and Government Senior Secondary School, Patiala walked away with cash prizes, but the real victory? A newfound passion for sustainability.

Planting Today for a Greener Future
With judges leading the way and students taking notes, this initiative is a powerful reminder that protecting the planet is a collective effort. The trees planted today will stand tall for decades, much like the ideals of justice they represent.
