Karnataka Considers Curbs On Mobile Phones And Social Media For Under-16s

The Karnataka government has begun discussions on imposing restrictions on mobile phone and social media usage for children below 16 years of age. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah raised the issue during a meeting with vice-chancellors of state universities, highlighting growing concerns about digital addiction, exposure to harmful content, and its impact on learning and mental health.
