CBSE students have emerged as the top performers in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025, outshining their counterparts from state and other boards. The announcement of results has put the spotlight on the growing influence of the CBSE curriculum in competitive exams across Karnataka.

Key Highlights:

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) declared the KCET 2025 results on May 25, revealing that a significant number of top rankers hail from CBSE-affiliated schools.
Out of the top 10 ranks in engineering, 7 were secured by CBSE students, with the remaining 3 from the Karnataka State Board.
In the medical stream, CBSE students bagged 6 out of the top 10 positions, reflecting their strong academic foundation and exam preparedness.
Experts attribute this trend to the CBSE syllabus, which is closely aligned with the KCET pattern, especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Many coaching centres have noted a surge in CBSE student enrollments, as parents and students perceive the board as providing a competitive edge for national and state-level entrance exams.
