If you’ve ever left something behind on a train and felt the panic set in, there’s good news for Namo Bharat commuters. A new lost and found centre has just opened at the Ghaziabad station, making it much easier for travelers on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS line to get their belongings back.

Here’s what you should know:
  • The centre, run by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation, is dedicated to helping passengers recover items lost on trains or at stations along the Namo Bharat route.
  • Since opening, the team has already reunited more than 160 lost items—including phones, wallets, laptops, watches, and even important documents—with their owners.
  • If you lose something, you can use the ‘Lost and Found’ feature on the Namo Bharat Connect app. The app lists found items and where they were recovered, so you can quickly check if your missing item has turned up.
  • Once you spot your item on the app, just contact the centre at Ghaziabad station. You’ll need to verify your identity and then you can collect your belongings.
  • For help on the spot, you can also talk to staff at any station or use the control room numbers listed in the app.
  • Items that aren’t claimed within six months will be scrapped, so it’s best to act fast if you’ve lost something.
This new service is part of a bigger effort to make the Namo Bharat corridor safer and more commuter-friendly, with other features like emergency communication and better security.
