In response to the tragic Air India plane crash, LIC and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance have relaxed claim settlement rules to expedite financial relief for affected families. The insurers have simplified documentation requirements, ensuring faster processing for policyholders impacted by the disaster.

The crash, which occurred shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, claimed 241 lives out of 242 onboard. The victims included 169 Indians, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian.
