Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that more than 100 locomotives produced at the Marhowra factory in Bihar are ready to be exported. This is a major achievement in India's "Make in India" program, reflecting the increasing capability of the country in locomotive production. The Marhowra factory, a joint venture between Indian Railways and Wabtec, has been augmenting its capability to cater to international demands. The export of such locomotives reflects India's growing position in the international rail equipment market, with the destination being Africa and other parts of the world.
