L&T Secures ₹10-25 Billion Orders for Rajasthan Water Supply Project

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured significant orders from the Rajasthan Public Health Engineering Department, reinforcing its leadership in water infrastructure projects. The contracts, valued between ₹10 billion and ₹25 billion, focus on expanding water supply networks across 648 villages in Chittorgarh district under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Project Scope & Infrastructure Development:
The project includes intake structures, three water treatment plants (175 MLD capacity), and 1,800 km of transmission pipelines.
L&T will construct 13 clear water reservoirs (21,600 KL capacity), 13 pump houses, and 31 overhead service reservoirs (4,850 KL capacity).
The initiative will provide 22,000 functional household tap connections, ensuring clean drinking water access.
Automation & Long-Term Maintenance:
The project integrates SCADA-based automation, enhancing real-time monitoring and operational efficiency.
L&T will oversee operation and maintenance for 10 years, ensuring sustainable water management.
Additional Contracts in Assam:
L&T has also secured an order from the Guwahati Water Supply and Sewerage Board for the South Guwahati West Water Supply Project (107 MLD capacity).
The Assam project involves 84 km of DI pipeline, 3 km of MS pipeline, and four pre-settling tanks.
Market Reaction & Industry Impact:
L&T’s stock saw a slight uptick, trading at ₹3,089.35 per share, following the announcement.
