Magna Electro Castings Ltd has officially commenced commercial production on its much-anticipated Third Moulding Line Project, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing expansion and modernization efforts.
Key Highlights:
The Third Moulding Line project has been inaugurated and is now operational, following the installation and commissioning of advanced machinery and equipment sourced from leading global suppliers.
This new line features a state-of-the-art FBO V moulding line from Sinto Japan and an Eirich Sand Plant from Eirich India, boosting the plant’s installed capacity by 1,200 metric tonnes per month and raising Magna’s total monthly capacity to 2,000 metric tonnes.
The expanded facility now enables Magna to manufacture cast products ranging from 1 kg to 250 kg, offering improved cost competitiveness and precision quality to meet diverse customer requirements.
The project’s successful execution was supported by recent upgrades to Magna’s power distribution infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient energy supply for the new line.
The company’s workforce underwent rigorous training in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to uphold global standards and ensure first-time-right production quality.
The Third Moulding Line is expected to enhance Magna’s ability to serve both domestic and international markets, reinforcing its position as a leading player in the castings industry.
Management sees this expansion as a strategic step to capitalize on new business opportunities and drive long-term growth.
