To stimulate domestic train manufacturing, Kinet Railway Equipment Private Limited is requesting Rs. 500 crore from Punjab National Bank (PNB) to start manufacturing Vande Bharat trains in Maharashtra. This will help contribute to the Make in India initiative and improve the railway infrastructure of the country. If the loan is approved, they will build a modern manufacturing facility, which will create local jobs and allow the surrounding economy to grow. This indicates a significant push towards India's self-sufficiency in high-end railway technology and could speed the growth of the Vande Bharat fleet throughout the country.
