Prime Minister Narendra Modi's July 25-26 visit to the Maldives marks a new beginning in bilateral relations, both nations embracing a new partnership in trade, technology, and regional security. The visit comes just ahead of the Maldives' 60th Independence Day, and Modi is the guest of honour, a diplomatic thaw after a strained year.
