Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a Category-1 Miniratna under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has finalized a landmark shipbuilding contract with CMA CGM, France. The agreement, signed on February 18, 2026, in New Delhi, follows the earlier Letter of Intent dated October 14, 2025.
This project involves designing and constructing six advanced LNG-powered feeder vessels, each with a capacity of approximately 1,700 TEU. The order is classified as Mega under CSL’s order classification system, reflecting its scale and strategic importance.
