Motherson Sumi, Egtronics Ink JV Deal—India to Power Global Auto Electronics Push

Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd. has announced a strategic joint venture with South Korea’s Egtronics Co., aimed at manufacturing automotive electronics in India for global markets. The partnership will establish a dedicated production facility in India, leveraging Motherson’s local manufacturing scale and Egtronics’ expertise in power electronics, EV components, and infotainment systems.

 

The JV is expected to cater to both domestic OEMs and international clients, aligning with India’s growing role as a global auto electronics hub. The move also supports Motherson’s broader strategy to diversify beyond traditional auto components and deepen its presence in EV and connected vehicle ecosystems.
