Shaking up the Indian hospitality market, Naptapgo, a pod hotel startup, has raised INR 2 crore of pre-seed capital from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) in preparation for the fast expansion into city and pilgrimage destinations. The company was founded by industry veterans Nitin Malhotra and Himanshu Shukla. Naptapgo is reimagining short-stay travel through its clean, small, and technology-led accommodations at transit points, city centers, and pilgrimage centers.

The new capital will fuel franchise development, bold marketing, technology enhancements, and efficiency-enhancing operations-all in pursuit of delivering a more memorable guest experience. Naptapgo's differentiated model, already witnessing 65% of bookings directly through its website and WhatsApp, is based on flexibility, sustainability, and affordability. The brand plans to aggressively scale to 20 properties by FY27, focusing on cities such as Gurugram, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Katra, and Amritsar.

Industry titans are sitting up and taking notice: the company has received strategic investment from PSU Balmer Lawrie and public support from Anand Mahindra. Hailed as the "Franchisable Concept of the Year 2024," Naptapgo is set to capitalize on India's booming hotel sector-projected to grow from $30 billion to $55 billion by 2030-through providing affordable luxury for the new-age traveler.
