National Round Table Conference Of ECI And SECs To Be Held On February 24

The ECI has announced the National Round Table Conference with SECs, marking the first such gathering since 1999. Scheduled for February 24 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the event will bring together Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, along with SECs from all states and union territories.  

The day-long conference will focus on enhancing coordination between the ECI and SECs, addressing challenges in conducting free and fair elections, and exploring the role of technology in electoral management. Legal and technical experts will also participate, presenting recommendations on improving transparency, voter participation, and security in the electoral process.  

This historic reconvening underscores the Commission’s commitment to strengthening India’s democratic framework and ensuring robust electoral practices across the country.
