Lahore, March 5 - New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first against South Africa in the second semi-final ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Skipper Mitchell Santner expressed confidence in their approach to the game, because of the excellent conditions for batting. South Africa, captained by Temba Bavuma, made one change, with Bavuma now back after an injury layoff. Their Playing XI has Rassie van der Dussen, Heinrich Klaasen, Kagiso Rabada, and others, all of whom would be looking to make an impact. New Zealand, features an unchanged lineup from the last match, and has the biggest names in world cricket, including Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, and Matt Henry. The pitch report states that it is a hard and flat one with a little grass on it for good bounce for the batters. Bowlers will have to execute it to the perfect if they want to stop the flow of runs. A thrilling contest is on the cards since both teams are eyeing a place in the final.
