While India's iconic shuttlers PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, and Kidambi Srikanth continue to inspire the nation, a colorful new crop of badminton stars is creating ripples on the international as well as the national level, pointing to a rosy future for Indian badminton.

Emerging Women's Singles Stars:

Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj (17) has made waves abroad with quarterfinal appearances at the German Open, Thailand Masters, and Hylo Open, and triumphs at the Slovenia Open and CM Trophy International Challenge.

Malvika Bansod (world ranking 27) is India's No. 2 after Sindhu now, with bold performances against the best and a runner-up finish at the Hylo Open.

Anmol Kharb and Tanvi Sharma were both instrumental in India's historic gold at the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championships, with Tanvi also winning her first senior title at the Bonn International Challenge.

Other players to keep an eye on: Tasnim Mir, Isharani Baruah, and Anupama Upadhyaya-all posting deep runs in international tournaments and consistently rising through the rankings.

Men's Singles and Doubles Prospects

Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy are still in the fray, but new faces such as Tharun Mannepalli are making their entry at Super Series tournaments.

In doubles, Dhruv Kapila/Tanisha Crasto and Pruthvi K Roy/K Sai Pratheek are also making a name for themselves, with the latter claiming national and international titles in 2024.
