Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) and NITI Aayog have partnered in a seminal collaboration to transform India's ecosystem for entrepreneurship, with the objective of empowering local businesses and creating jobs. Launched on May 2, 2025, the venture will test-pilot projects at Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, and select districts in Uttar Pradesh, with the target of developing robust, regionally specific entrepreneurship ecosystems.
The alliance brings together government, corporates, academia, financial institutions, and civil society organizations to address targeted local challenges. The primary interventions include access to finance, capacity-building, policy advocacy, and community-based programs, all of which are designed to support entrepreneurs in starting and expanding businesses.
GAME President Ketul Acharya emphasized, "Entrepreneurship can transform lives and communities. This collaboration is a seminal step towards innovation-driven, inclusive growth." The goal: create self-sustaining, locally owned ecosystems that generate broad-based jobs and drive India's future economic growth.
