Nearly 25 years after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai redefined Bollywood romance, filmmaker Karan Johar has stirred nostalgia and curiosity by unveiling his ideal cast for a modern-day remake. Speaking on Myntra’s Glam Stream with Sania Mirza, Johar said he would cast Alia Bhatt as Anjali, Ranveer Singh as Rahul, and Ananya Panday as Tina.

Interestingly, he ruled out top-tier stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Kiara Advani, instead leaning into what he playfully called the “younger nepo baby” generation. He also floated Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan as alternate choices for Tina, sparking buzz across fan circles.

While no official remake has been announced, the casting tease has reignited conversations around the film’s legacy and its relevance in today’s cinematic landscape.
