PM’s Solar Mission Gets a Power Boost—Redington & Eastman Plug Into Made-in-India Energy

Redington Ltd., a Fortune India 500 technology distributor, announced a strategic partnership with Eastman Auto & Power Ltd. to expand the availability of Made-in-India solar components across the country. The alliance aims to accelerate India’s clean energy transition and support government-backed initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
 
What the Partnership Brings
  • Redington will distribute Eastman’s solar inverters, lithium batteries, and energy storage systems (ESS) nationwide.
  • The collaboration supports rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects, ensuring compliance with subsidy eligibility criteria that require domestic components.
  • Eastman will leverage its local manufacturing base, service network, and industry partnerships to deliver end-to-end solar solutions.
Alignment with National Goals
  • The partnership aligns with Atma Nirbhar Bharat and Make in India policies, promoting self-reliance in solar manufacturing.
  • Redington has already enabled over 3 GW of solar installations across India, serving more than 5,000 solar system integrators.
  • Eastman’s addition to Redington’s portfolio enhances access to subsidy-eligible products under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, which supports residential solar adoption.
