The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 just hit Indian showrooms at Rs 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom), and it’s already getting a lot of attention. If you’re eyeing a middleweight naked bike, you’re probably also looking at the Triumph Street Triple R, Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, and Ducati Monster. Here’s how the Z900 stacks up against its main rivals.
Kawasaki Z900 (2025):
You get a 948cc inline-four engine with about 125 bhp and 98 Nm of torque. Kawasaki has loaded it with a 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth, cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and cornering ABS. At 212 kg, it’s not the lightest, but it’s the most powerful in this price range.
Triumph Street Triple R:
Priced at Rs 10.17 lakh, the Triumph offers a 765cc triple with 118 bhp and 80 Nm. It’s lighter at 189 kg, which makes it feel nimble, and comes with top-notch Showa suspension and Brembo brakes. It’s a bit more expensive and less powerful, but great if you want a sporty, agile ride.
Honda CB1000 Hornet SP:
This one’s the priciest at Rs 12.36 lakh. It packs a 999cc engine with 155 hp and 107 Nm. You get a lot of tech and comfort, but you’ll pay for it.
Ducati Monster:
At nearly Rs 13 lakh, the Monster brings Italian style and a 937cc L-twin making 111 bhp. It’s all about premium features and that Ducati badge.
Bottom line:
If you want the most power and features for your money, the Z900 is tough to beat. The Triumph is lighter and sportier, while the Honda and Ducati are more about premium feel and tech, but at a much higher price.
