President Droupadi Murmu has urged India and Slovakia to strengthen their collaboration in film-making and the entertainment sector, stressing the possibilities of cultural exchange and economic cooperation. Addressing a function marking bilateral relations, President Murmu underscored the synergy of creativity between the two countries, highlighting the fact that both nations have vibrant cultural heritage and active artistic communities.
"Our cinema is not just entertainment—it is a bridge between cultures. Slovakia, with its beautiful landscapes and rich traditions, can collaborate with India's cinematic superiority to produce world-class films," Murmu said.
The step has come as both nations aim to develop unexploited potential in creative sectors, such as co-productions, knowledge transfer, and technical cooperation. Slovakia, famous for its natural beauty, can provide special shoot locations, and Indian filmmakers possess skills in story-telling, visual effects, and production strengths.
Industry officials feel that these collaborations would not only create cross-cultural understanding but also pave the way for tourism and economic development.
President Murmu ended on an optimistic note regarding the future of this collaboration, calling on governments and artists to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead in the world of entertainment and movie production.
