Varun Dhawan is clearly getting into character for ‘Border 2’—and he’s not just acting tough. During filming at Pune’s National Defence Academy, he jumped right into a push-up challenge with a group of Indian Army cadets. What started as a friendly contest for 20 push-ups quickly escalated, and Varun kept up with the cadets all the way to 50 knuckle push-ups. The soldiers and crew cheered him on, and you could tell he genuinely enjoyed the camaraderie.

Here’s what else is happening with the film:
  • Varun’s been spending a lot of time with real soldiers, not just for publicity, but to really get a sense of their discipline and spirit. He even celebrated Army Day with them on set.
  • In ‘Border 2’, Varun plays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, a real-life hero from the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film will trace his journey from his hometown in Haryana to his legendary stand at Jarpal post.
  • He’s working hard to get every detail right, from learning the local dialect to handling artillery like a pro, all under the guidance of actual Army officers.
The film’s action is being handled by Nick Powell, who’s known for his Hollywood war sequences, so expect some intense battle scenes.
Alongside Varun, the movie features Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, making it one of the most anticipated releases.
