Rajasthan Gets a ₹26,000 Crore Makeover: PM Modi Unleashes Mega Development Blitz
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a revolutionizing wave of growth in Rajasthan today, flagging off and inaugurating schemes totalling more than ₹26,000 crore on his visit to Bikaner and Deshnoke. The ambitious launch covers railways, highways, power, water, and renewable energy fields, ensuring a tremendous improvement for the state's infrastructure and connectivity.
Key Highlights:
PM Modi started his visit by offering prayers at the Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke followed by inaugurating the renovated Deshnoke Railway Station with a design inspired by local temple structures.
The Prime Minister flagged off the new express train between Bikaner and Mumbai, improving direct connectivity between Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
One key area was the across-the-country inauguration of 103 refurbished Amrit Stations in 86 districts of 18 states and union territories, eight of them being in Rajasthan. The stations, renovated at a cost of more than ₹1,100 crore, have state-of-the-art amenities and enhanced connectivity.
PM Modi inaugurated six newly electrified railway tracks in Rajasthan spanning close to 1,000 km and laid the foundation stone of the Churu–Sadulpur railway track, taking Indian Railways' 100% electrification mission forward.
Road infrastructure also got a fillip as the foundation stone was laid for three vehicle underpasses, widening and road-strengthening of national highways, and inauguration of seven key road projects worth more than ₹4,850 crore, up to the Indo-Pak border to improve security and connectivity.
The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several power projects, such as solar plants at Bikaner and Nawa, and new transmission systems, advancing the state's clean energy goals.
Initiatives to key water projects, such as rural water supply and fluorosis mitigation in Jhunjhunu, and urban water supply improvement in Pali district, were launched.
New nursing colleges at Rajsammond, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, and Dholpur were opened, enhancing Rajasthan's health infrastructure.
