Eco Recycling Ltd (Ecoreco), India’s pioneering e-waste management company, has announced a major expansion of its recycling infrastructure, boosting its e-waste processing capacity by 18,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA). This strategic move aligns with India’s Critical Mineral Mission and reinforces Ecoreco’s commitment to sustainable resource recovery.
Key highlights of the expansion:
- The new facility increases Ecoreco’s total e-waste recycling capacity to 25,200 MTPA, alongside 6,000 MTPA for lithium-ion batteries
- Expansion funded entirely through internal accruals, reflecting financial strength and long-term vision
- Supports extraction of critical minerals like cobalt, nickel, and copper from discarded electronics
