Reliance Power Limited has taken a huge leap for India's renewable energy landscape by winning two key projects involving large-scale solar power generation complemented with innovative battery energy storage systems (BESS). The decision places Reliance Power in the leadership of India's shift to clean energy.

Key Highlights:

25-Year Record Tariff: Reliance Power subsidiary Reliance NU Suntech signed a historic 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply 930 MW of solar power with a 465 MW/1,860 MWh BESS. The project will be run at a fixed tariff of ₹3.53 per unit, ensuring cost stability and affordable green power for decades.

Major SJVN Auction Victory: In another SJVN Limited auction, Reliance NU Energies won 350 MW of solar and 175 MW/700 MWh BESS at a competitive tariff of ₹3.33 per kWh. This project, also with a 25-year PPA, reflects Reliance's increasing dominance in hybrid renewable solutions.

Technological Advantage: Both schemes boast cutting-edge battery storage, delivering four hours of assured peak power every day-a significant factor for grid stability and lowering reliance on expensive spot market buys during peak demand.

Efficient Execution: Reliance Power achieved the auction-to-contract cycle within less than five months and has even provided a performance guarantee of ₹378 crore for the SECI project, showcasing robust execution ability.

National Impact: These victories set new standards for scale, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in India's renewable industry, enabling grid modernization, employment generation, and the nation's ambitious clean energy targets.
