Sandhar Technologies is said to be in talks to acquire the aluminium die-casting units of Sundaram-Clayton, which announced recently that it would sell off these units from its Hosur plant. The move could bolster Sandhar's strength in automotive component manufacturing. Sandhar has meanwhile sanctioned the sale of its entire holding in Jinyong Sandhar Mechatronics, a joint venture with Korea-based Jinyong Electro-Mechanics. The divestment is a part of Sandhar's plan to concentrate on core business verticals and optimize its portfolio. These moves identify Sandhar's plans to consolidate its presence in the auto supply chain.
