Bharti Airtel has entered into a multi-year, multi-billion dollar contract with Ericsson to implement centralized RAN and Open RAN-ready solutions for 4G and 5G network evolution. The partnership will help boost Airtel's network capacity, coverage, and customer experience. Ericsson will upgrade Airtel's current 4G infrastructure and offer software upgrades to installed 4G radios. This alliance will enable Airtel's 5G transition and uphold its network dominance in India. The deal is based on a 25-year history of cooperation between the two firms. Airtel CTO Randeep Sekhon highlighted that this strategic alliance proves Airtel's dedication to network excellence.
