In anticipation of heavy passenger traffic during Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Air India Group has rolled out a major capacity boost for Patna, one of India’s busiest festive travel hubs. The group, comprising Air India and Air India Express, will operate 166 additional weekly flights to and from Patna between October 15 and November 3, 2025.

Two-Phase Rollout
Phase 1: Air India will operate 114 extra flights from October 15 to November 2.
Phase 2: Air India Express will run 52 additional flights between October 22 and November 3.
High-Demand Routes Covered
Air India’s added flights are evenly distributed across Delhi–Patna, Mumbai–Patna, and Bengaluru–Patna, with 38 flights each.
Air India Express will focus on Delhi–Patna and Bengaluru–Patna, adding 26 flights per route.
Supplementary Services
These flights are in addition to existing schedules, not replacements, ensuring maximum availability for travelers.
Currently, Air India operates 42 weekly flights on Delhi/Mumbai–Patna routes, while Air India Express runs 14 weekly flights on Delhi/Bengaluru–Patna.
