Sotefin Bharat, Swiss pioneer in automated parking Sotefin SA's Indian subsidiary, has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Bagnan, Howrah district, West Bengal. The investment of approximately Rs 40 crore is a strategic landmark in India's urban mobility infrastructure.

Strategic Milestones

The factory can produce 10,000 automated car parking systems annually, and it is therefore possible to assist approximately 25 large-scale projects annually.

It is likely to generate more than 100 job opportunities within the locality, generating local employment and industrial growth.

The crop will be for both domestic and international markets, and exports are already being done to Dubai and the USA.

Growth Indicators

Sotefin Bharat's order book stands at Rs 1,000 crore, which is a 50–60 percent growth in the next 3–4 years.

The plant promotes the Make in India initiative, enhancing the company's local manufacturing capacity and reducing import dependency.

Arup Choudhuri, Managing Director & CEO, stressed the role of the plant in terms of improving production and innovation in automated parking.

Executive Director Jignesh Sanghvi highlighted the firm's robust pipeline and global aspirations.

Ceremonial Highlights

The event was attended by Swiss Ambassador to India Maya Jaoudhari Tissafi and top-level officials and company officials.

The event promoted Indo-Swiss collaboration in high-tech infrastructure and green city solutions.
