Stronger Together: Medihelp and Apollo Hospitals Partner to Elevate Sri Lankan Healthcare

Medihelp Hospitals has partnered with Apollo Hospitals Group India in a new clinical collaboration aimed at raising the standard of healthcare in Sri Lanka. The agreement was signed at a ceremony in Colombo and marks a significant step toward knowledge sharing, advanced specialty care, and medical education between the two organizations.

Key Highlights:

The partnership focuses on sharing medical expertise, offering advanced specialty treatments, and expanding telemedicine services for Sri Lankan patients.
A dedicated helpline was launched, giving patients and doctors in Sri Lanka direct access to Apollo’s expert guidance through phone and WhatsApp.
Experts from Apollo Hospitals, including specialists in liver transplant and spine surgery, led seminars on cutting-edge treatments such as robotic-assisted surgeries during the launch event.
The collaboration will also support ongoing medical education and training for Medihelp’s healthcare professionals, ensuring access to the latest global practices and technologies.
Medihelp operates 16 primary care centers and two multispecialty hospitals in Sri Lanka, while Apollo Hospitals is Asia’s largest healthcare group, with 74 hospitals and a strong track record in research and innovation.

The agreement is expected to improve patient outcomes, make advanced treatments more accessible, and help Sri Lankan doctors stay updated with global medical advancements.

Dignitaries, including former health secretary Dr. Amal Harsha De Silva, attended the event, highlighting the importance of cross-border partnerships in healthcare.
