S.V.S. Narayana Murty Takes Helm as Chairman and MD of Mishra Dhatu Nigam

The Ministry of Defence has appointed S.V.S. Narayana Murty as the Chairman and Managing Director of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd (MIDHANI), a leading public sector undertaking specializing in advanced metallurgy and manufacturing. This strategic leadership change is expected to drive MIDHANI’s growth and innovation in the defense and aerospace sectors.  

 

S.V.S. Narayana Murty brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, having previously held key positions in the Ministry of Defence’s Department of Defence Production. His appointment aligns with MIDHANI’s vision to enhance self-reliance in critical materials and technologies, supporting India’s defense and space programs.  

 

Under his leadership, MIDHANI aims to expand its capabilities in producing superalloys, titanium alloys, and specialized steels, which are vital for high-technology industries.
