Google has officially launched Google Pay in Oman, offering Android users a secure and contactless way to make payments in stores, apps, and on the web. - Google Pay is now available for Android phones running version 9 or higher, as well as Wear OS smartwatches

- Sohar International Bank is currently the only financial institution in Oman supporting Google Pay for its cardholders  
- The service enables purchases via websites and mobile apps, though peer-to-peer transfers and service payments are not yet supported  
- Unlike Samsung Pay, Google Pay is accessible to all compatible Android devices, broadening its reach across the Sultanate
