INS Mahe is the lead vessel of eight planned in her class, built by Cochin Shipyard with key contributions from Indian defense industries. Equipped with advanced sonar, lightweight torpedoes, anti-submarine rockets, and sophisticated communication systems, the ship excels in detecting, tracking, and neutralizing underwater threats in shallow coastal waters. Designed for agility, stealth, and precision, INS Mahe integrates seamlessly with larger naval assets to form India’s first line of coastal defense.
