Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the grand celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of Uttarakhand’s formation on November 9, 2025, in Dehradun. The occasion will witness the inauguration and foundation laying of key development projects totaling Rs 8,140 crore, signaling a major boost for the state’s socio-economic landscape.
Key Highlights:
The projects include Rs 930 crore worth of ready-to-launch initiatives alongside Rs 7,210 crore worth of foundation stones for upcoming infrastructural and social welfare schemes.
Crucial sectors covered are drinking water (including the Song Dam Drinking Water Project to supply 150 MLD to Dehradun), irrigation, renewable energy (solar power plants in government offices), technical education, urban development, sports, and skill development.
Noteworthy inaugurations include the Dehradun water supply coverage under AMRUT scheme, electrical substations in Pithoragarh, and an AstroTurf hockey ground in Nainital.
PM Modi will also release financial aid amounting to Rs 62 crore to over 28,000 farmers under PM Fasal Bima Yojana, emphasizing grassroots support.
The foundation of the Jamarani Dam Multipurpose Project in Nainital, expected to support drinking water, irrigation, and power generation, will be laid during the event.
The Prime Minister will unveil a commemorative postal stamp and deliver a keynote address to emphasize Uttarakhand’s remarkable progress and roadmap for future growth.
