In a landmark moment for India's space program, ISRO successfully test-fired its first rocket with a payload from Uttar Pradesh. The experiment, performed in Kushinagar, is a big step towards deconcentration of India's space activity from traditional launch sites.

Breakthrough in Regional Space Testing

The test was performed in collaboration with Thrust Tech India Limited.

The rocket went to the height of 1.1 km before performing a small satellite payload release.

The payload parachute opened at 5 meters, with a safe touchdown at 400 meters of the launchpad.

Technical Accomplishments and Future Directions

The 15 kg rocket landed safely, proving the success of the experiment.

Unlike previous drone-based trials conducted in Ahmedabad, it was the first-ever direct rocket launch in UP.

The success paves the way for an even larger event later this year when 900 satellites manufactured by youth would be tested.

Collaboration of Government and Industry

ISRO scientist Abhishek Singh said that the test was successful and emphasized its importance for upcoming missions.

Vinod Kumar, Director of Thrust Tech India, emphasized the significance of the initiative to motivate young minds.

The event will create a spark of interest in space technology all over India.

This achievement goes to prove India's resolve to enhance its space capabilities while developing innovation at a grassroots level.
