According to IDC, in 2024, Vivo replaced Samsung and Xiaomi as the leading smartphone brand in India. Because it had an excellent presence through all price categories and retail channels, Vivo finally claimed a market share of 20% regarding shipments. Supporting mid-range and premium devices catalyzed with financing options like no-cost EMIs drove the YoY growth of 4% in the Indian smartphone market, shipping 151 million units. Apple also gained for the first time and reached the top five brands, with a 10 percent market share. The increasing usage of 5G added more wings to the development of the market.
