Vodafone Idea to Roll Out 5G in Mumbai by March, Expanding to Key Cities by April

Vodafone Idea (Vi) is set to launch its 5G services in Mumbai by March 2025, followed by Delhi, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, and Patna in April. This phased rollout marks Vi's strategic push to compete with Reliance Jio and Airtel in the 5G race. The telco has invested heavily in network expansion, adding over 46,000 new sites in 2024. Analysts view this as a significant challenge for Mukesh Ambani and Sunil Mittal as Vi aims to reclaim market share.
