Weaving Prosperity: ₹2,100 Cr Green Light for PM Mitra Park in Dhar

The Centre has approved a ₹2,100 crore project for development of the PM Mitra Park at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, leaving aside a milestone in the Indian textile industry as well as Madhya Pradesh's industrial development. Located across a plot of 2,100 acres at Bhainsola village, the greenfield "smart" textiles park will accommodate ultra-modern facilities like a zero liquid discharge plant, solar-powered facilities, and worker quarters. The project is likely to create more than 3 lakh jobs, increase local cotton consumption, and bring in investments of over ₹10,000 crore, with applications for land allotment to be opened shortly. Strategically positioned close to Indore and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the park will aim to make Madhya Pradesh a national textile hub, benefiting farmers and restoring the region's rich textile heritage.
