The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), in collaboration with the Fit India Movement, celebrated eight years of GST with a national-level cyclothon titled "Sundays on Cycle." The flag event on May 18, 2025, at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, was graced by over 50,000 cyclists from 100+ CGST commissionerates, senior CBIC officials, and Bollywood actors Sunil Shetty, Milind Sonam, and John Abraham.

The event combined fitness with GST consciousness, featuring a dedicated "Know About GST" help desk, electronic kiosks with QR codes for GST content, and vibrant displays highlighting tax reforms and taxpayer-friendly initiatives such as the GST Composition and QRMP schemes. Shashank Priya, Member (GST), CBIC, pointed out GST's transformative contribution to unifying India's indirect tax system and easing compliance.

This creative outreach is a testament to CBIC's dedication to public outreach, health promotion, and GST's triumph in making taxation simpler for businesses and citizens across the country.
