Isha Ambani stole the show at Met Gala 2025, not only with her Anamika Khanna couture outfit, but also a stunning diamond choker that became the talk of social media. Netizens soon picked up on its striking resemblance to the well-known necklace of the Hollywood blockbuster Ocean's 8, with Anne Hathaway's character being famously seen sporting it during an imaginary Met Gala robbery. The buzz only increased when Isha herself explained: the show-stopping piece is owned by her mother, Nita Ambani, and is a prized part of the family's personal collection.
The necklace is a contemporary re-creation of the fabled Cartier Toussaint, originally created in 1931 for the Maharaja of Nawanagar, set with the legendary 136-carat Queen of Holland diamond. Although the original no longer exists, Cartier rekindled its history for Ocean's 8, and the Ambanis' version takes direct inspiration from this historic design.
Isha’s look, styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, featured a white embroidered cape, black tailored trousers, and a corset, accentuated with heirloom jewels from Nita Ambani’s collection-including the now-viral necklace and a vintage brooch.
The necklace’s estimated value ranges from $100-$150 million, echoing the opulence of both Indian royal heritage and cinematic legend.
Isha's truthful disclosure-"They're all hers," her mother's jewels-pleased devotees and pointed out the Ambani family's legacy of mixing history, luxury, and personal heritage on the global platform.
